  • Visa Issued Or Not

    Hi

My parents had been to Chennai consulate on 07/21/05. According to my parents the interview went on well, the officer took ds156, pp's of my parents, the DD & gave them a questionnaire which says that could not issue visa on 221g & need to fill out this form of questionnaire & e-mail it back to them, the officer asked them to fill that ques. & e-mail back asap so that they can process their visa.
    1) does this mean the visa has been granted?
    2) they have also asked for my father's cv/resume, what is that for?
    3) what do they mean by itinerary, is that the return tickets?

is this a matter of concern or is it ok? anyone with same experience or anyone with suggestions, please respond.

    thanks in advance

    1. No, it is not granted but the decision is pending till you send more information requested from you.
Section 221(g) means the consular requires more information or document, or some further procedure before the visa can be issued.
Where as 214(b) is outright denial.

    2. Did he work in a sensitive scientific/other area in India? maybe that is
why they asked for his CV.

3.Itinerary means a date-wise description of his arrival in US,
the places he will visit and his departure from US.
