visitor visa for mother

Hi, I have come to USA in July 2012 and my visa expires in july 2013. I have I-94 valid till 2014 Dec.
I am planned to call my mother in April 2012 for a visit. Please help to get the answer for below concerns:

1. As my visa is expiring in july 2013 will the consulate allow/approve visitor visa in March ?
2. Is it mandatory to have 6 months good bank balance or would it be fine if i can show 3 months sufficient bank balance ?

2. Is it mandatory to have 6 months good bank balance or would it be fine if i can show 3 months sufficient bank balance ?
-- You should have sufficient money to pay for her trip. What they look for in the 6 months statement is whether you moved a large amount of money during recent period just to satisfy the requirement.
