  • Lost Passport and multiple entry visitor visa with it

My mother lost her passport and multiple entry visitor visa in it. She visited us once in 2002 stayed for 6 months and left in 2003. She lost her passport by theft in 2004. After trying hard she got new passport recently. I would like her to visit me after appearing for Visitors visa at US Consulate.
Please let me know what additional documents should she provide at the time of interview ?.
I sent documents when I was on H-1 visa, currently I am a greencard holder what documents should I send her ?

    Thanks
    Pradeep

If she has a copy of her old visa and passport that shows her visit and
departure from the US, it will really help.

Other than that , send her an I-134 and supporting bank statements if you wish to sponsor her.If she has enough funds of her own in India, no need for
an I-134; send her an invitation letter describing your status, your employer,
you income. Also send a copy of your green card.

      carry a police report

      Hi..
Make sure that she has the following:
      1. A copy of the police report (FIR) stating that the passport was lost/stolen.
      2. A copy of the old passport.

Apart from that carry the regular documents needed for the visa of her category since this is treated like a new visa

The consulate will ask you for that. I just got a visa restamped last week at Mumbai consulate since my passport was stolen and these were the documents they asked me for.
