Changing DS-160 entries after fixing the appointment for b2

Would the B2 visa interview appointment date/time get affected if we attempt to change the entries in the DS-160? My parents have their VISA interview scheduled on the first week of Feb 2013.

You should not be making changes to DS-160 after scheduling an appointment.

If you would like to make any such changes, cancel the appointment, make the changes, and take new appointment.
