  • I-94 issued 1 day less than actual return ticket date

I-94 issued earlier than actual return ticket date is it ok or do we need to change Return ticket based on I-94 (lag of 1 day)

We had booked my parents tickets with round trip tickets, but when they entered into USA, they had given I-94 , 1 day less than their actual return date. (eg: I-94 was issued till April 26th, however their return ticket is on April 27th).
    1) Is it ok to Stay in USA one day extra even after I-94 expiry
If no to above question, then we have to change their tickets, which will cost us around 500$ (penalty + change in fare difference)

Any suggestion or inputs are appreciated; it will help us to make a decision on changing the tickets.

Advisable to change the ticket date. Any overstay even by a day without extension request filed will make their B2 visas void causing them to apply for a new visa in order to return at a later time.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

An overstay is not advisable. When one books a ticket, one ought to book it with ample time to leave, giving a few day buffer before the six month period. Doing otherwise is irresponsible.
