Multiple Entries to US in a year on B1/B2 Tourist Visa

Hello,

I really need a help here. My dad has a 10 year tourist visa from India and he has been here twice since 2009. His stays were from August 27th 2009 to January 12 2010. And his second entry was on November 16th 2012 and returned on January 6th 2013. He is planning to come back towards the end of the march 2013 for a month and a half. Will this re-entry can make any troubles?

Please guide as friend of mine said the immigration officer can send him back as he is re-entering within 6 months or so..... PS he went back before his I94 expired no illegal stays.

A gap of 2 and a half months after a 3 month stay seems short.

It all depends on the officer at entry.
I think if he can give them a genuine reason for coming again so quickly, like a wedding, a medical reason
he will be allowed in for a short stay.

A strict officer could create problems if he cannot explain his quick return.
So, if he is not sure, wait for another 3 months.
