need help for applying visitor visa to attend marriage of my cousin brother

please help me?

i need to apply us tourist visa to attend marriage of my cousin brother. they have sent me sponsorship letter in my & my wife's name and they have been living in us form past 20 years and are in regular touch with us and even attended my marriage.

I am presently permanently employed in private company ( from july-2012 in my present company) and earning Rs. 2.4 lac per/year and my wife private school teacher ( from march 2011 in present school) and is earning 1.10 lac/year and as my income is less than so i do fill income tax. but have agricultural property in my name and my wife is having property in her name (ancestral) and we both have saving of around 5-7 lac. We live in our own house which is in my mother's name.

i want to know i'm i eligible for visitor visa to attend marriage of my cousin and what type of documents i should make so as to make my case strong for applying visa.

THey decide on the basis of verbal answers.

The problem could be your family's low income.
Even if your cousin is sending affidavit of support and fianncial papers, they look
at the applicant's income to ascertain his financial ties to India.
They suspect people with low income may not return.


Do you have any agricultural income ? or any rental income from your wife's property?

my agricultural income is around 4 lacs per year and we both are having ancestral property of around Rs.1.5 Cr in our name. Will it be enough...

If you say a low figure like 2 lacs , you may get denied.

Carry some papers to prove all 3 incomes including your wife's.

thanks for your advise.. i want to clarify that should i fill my total income ( salary + agricultural) in the DS 160 Form or just my salary and do we have to fill individual ( me & my wife) DS 160 or just one.
