Visitor Visa - Sponser Document - Affidavit with Original Birth Certificate

Hi Team,
I am sponsering my parents for USvisitor visa. My birth certificate is issued in 2013 and My parents are going for Personal Interview next week. I know in ImmIhelp it's mention to bring 3 affidavit along with original birth certificate as it's issued far late from date of birth.
I have never read any post regarding the requirement of those affidavit. Can any one please help whether the affidavit is required or not? Generall VO not asked ever for birth certificate as parents name is already mentioned in passport.

Affidavit is not required.
Usually they do not even need the BC.

If you have multiple originals of your BC , just send one,or
even a copy will suffice
just in case an odd officer asks for it.
