My Inlaws are visiting their son in US , both are above 65 , got their passport done in May -2011
They did not check for minute details when they got their Passport , now they plan to visit the consulate jointly to get their B1 Visa but I noticed follwoing anamolies , can anybody help with best suggestion.
1) Spouse Name
Husaband Name as in Passport : given Name : ABC
Sir name : XYZ
Spouse Name in wife Passport : ABC XYZ PQR ( here PQR is expanded name of husband's second initial)
Does this needs to be corrected before they applied for VISA ?
2) Address error
Husbands Passport has House # no house name
Wife's Passport has House Name but no House # - they both stay in the same house , but to counsellor officer they can be different
Does it need a correction again in the passport ?
3) Date of Birth :
Wife did not have any birth cirtificate or Record , so an affidavit was made , date as 28 AUG 1947 , in the passport it is printed as 8 AUG 1947 - does this need correction or Counsellor officers are not interested in DOB records -once a date is approved by Passport issuing authority ?
4) If they went together or separately to seek a VISA - will they be asked to show Marriage certificate etc
Best Regards
Ihmo
