  • Bank Verification Letter addressed to ME (Me being the Bank Account Holder)

    Hi,

    I am trying to invite my relatives over to USA for a visit (tour). One of the supporting documents is the Bank Verification Letter. I had requested to the Bank and the bank has given me the letter. In the letter its mentioned something like this:

    ===============================================
    .
    .

    For sponsoring Mr. [Name], Mrs. [Name]
    TO: [MY NAME]
    .
    .
    .
    ===============================================

    The above 2 lines are of my interest. Here althouth the letter has the names of the invitees, it also mentions that the letter is addressed to ME (Me being the Bank Account Holder and the sponsorer).

    My question is should the "TO" be addressed to the US Consulate instead of me?

    Please let me know if you have any opinion/answer.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Abani

    It should be to the US consulate.
    In my country you only need a bank statement.

      It is not required.
      If you are sending an I-134 , your bank statements and your tax return should suffice.
      If you are not sending an I-134 , all you need to send is an invitation.
