Visitor - Supporting Documents - Affidavit *Info Request*

Dear Admin,

I am sponsoring my parents trip for USA and planned documentation same way. There are few documents asking for affidavit my parents which need to keep ready as supporting documents at the time of interview e.g. Property information/assurance of return. Please can you advice if this need to be on Stamp Paper or it can be self signed affidavit?

Affidavit for assurance of return is useless.

They will judge their potential to return from
questions about their family and income ties in India.
NOT an affidavit.

Mostly they do not look at any documents.

Still they must carry,
Your invite , I-134 if your sponsoring and financial docs,
your visa copies.
Their bank statement in India, IT return/income proof if working .
Property papers are enough though they do not look at them.

Thanks! I have sent all these documents. In supporting document section, it has been adviced to carry affidavit and samples are also provided. Thought VO might not look or ask for it but I am looking forward to keep it ready. Hence would like to know if that would on on Stamp Paper or plan self Affidavit will do. Thanks in advance !

indian affidavits are not required for a B1/B2 and are a pure waste of time and money.

In India, affidavits are always made on stamp paper. Otherwise, they are not valid.
