Passport Lost and DS-160

Hi,

I am an Indian National and i am applying for B-2 Visa for travel to US.

My old passport which expired before issue of my Current passport is lost and i cant find it.

Do i need to mention in form DS-160 about loss of old expired passport? or should i say that i did not lose any passports as it is expired.

The old passport had no VISA or travel details in it.

To the quest. on DS 160, " have you ever lost a passport" just answer NO.

Becuase it was expired and had not visas or travel history, it has no relevance.

The reason for such a query is that the US Consul specifically asks to carry all previous passports along with the current one.
So could you please provide answer in such a context.

Usually they do not ask for one, unless they want to look at previous US visas.
Just in case they do, just tell them it is somewhere in the house ,I cannot find it,
which is actually the truth.

I am still in a dilemna as the local US Consul does check the old passports in detail.

Will it be a negative in my application if i say my old expired passport was lost?

Lost my passport

Hi I lost my passport with visa in USA and I want renew my drivers license.my visa expired but I have petition for 2 years can anyone help me please.
