  • self sponsored B2 visa after my H1B interview?

I am currently on OPT(F1) and my employer has filed for my H1B.I am planning to visit India soon and get my H1 stamped during that time .My parents are also planning to visit US soon after that.Is it ok if they attend the B2 visa interview a week or two after I attend my H1 interview??

My father is employed, they have sufficient property and reasonable funds to show.I have one sibling and he is settled in India.I have sufficient funds to sponsor them too.Would it be a good idea to sponsor them or is it better if they self sponsor.I will be taking care of their expenses here.

Is there an option for sponsoring partially for the trip. In general, I want to know what would be better self sponsored/ sponsored visa and is it ok if they take the interview after I attend my H1B visa interview.

    Thanks for any help!

For self funding , the most important is INCOME . If your dad's family income from all sources is 1L /month or more,
it is safe for self funding.

They do not care about property/savings .

There is this issue of you just having received an H-1 and visiting India while they will apply.

Look, B1/B2 success depends a lot on the whim of the officer( discretion).
THey tend to deny on the slightest weak point.
So, do not do anything in haste that will cause a denial.

Get your H-1, go to US.
Work for a few months. Let your parents apply 6-7 months from now.
And you will be in a better position to sponsor than now, ( if your parents can't show self funding).
