  • Parents filing for B2 Visa under 'Self Sponsored'

Hi, I have a querry regarding My parents filing for a US B2 visa under 'Self Sponsored' Category.
I am on a L1B visa in US since Nov 2012 and will be here till July 2013.
My parents are planning to stay with me during their planned 6 weeks stay in US and this has been mentioned in the DS-160.
But they wanted to finance their own trip and hence submitted with 'Self Sponsored' category. My father is a practicing Chartered Accountant and has his own practice in our native town . He has sufficient funds in order of $100K which includes deposits, Provident fund, property etc. and my mother is a housewife(she has filled in my father's detail as the one sponsoring her trip).
Please tell me what all documents will my father has to carry to support his trip funding and will my details(other than my passport, I-94, Visa copy, address, US driver license) needed for the visa interview.
    Look forward for your response.

For self funding he must have good income.
The design of interview is that they only focus on income.
If his income is more than Rs 10L /yr , he is safe for self funding.

Savings, property etc are not looked at.

      Hi Peace,

      Thanks for your reply.

As a a proof of income, he will be carrying a certified income proof from a Chartered Accountant, IT returns(for last 3 years) & Bank statements(last 6 months).
Will this be sufficient to proove his income.

      Thoughts

Oh yes. Even the CA letter is not required.
IT returns and bank statements are enough.( also carry property and savings papers just in case ).
90% they won't look at any document. They will just decide on
        what he answers verbally.
