My father, a US citizen sponsored his daughter/my sister for immigrant visa about 5 years ago. My sister then was over 21, and married.
I live in US and I am also a US citizen. I am getting married in US in June 2013 and I would of course like my sister, her husband and children to attend the wedding who all have never been to US before. I have been told that because they have already been sponsored by my father for immigrant visa, their visit visa application would be denied. Is that correct? If so, how I can possibly address that?
My sister's immigrant visa processing time is still few years away. Also, my brother-in-law has a great job and has strong reasons to go back. Does that positively impact in anyways?
Thanks!
