US VISA appointment @ Chennai consulate

I was not getting the dates that I wanted to schedule the visa appointment. Tried refreshing it some times as each time new dates were getting available but not the one I preferred. Started getting a message that you are approaching the maximum possibile limit and to schedule it now. Has anyone encountered this. Is this limit for the day or it is the final counts ??
