I-137 Question - Please advise - Urgent

Hi..

In I-137 affidavit of support document I have mentioned about my bank account balance and stock balance but I have not mentioned anything about my personal property and my house property value etc. I have left those columns blank.

I asked few of my friends and they all have mentioned only about the bank balance and have left the other questions blank. They say it is OK if we just show bank balance and how much we earn and it is not important to mention anything about personal property,life insurance, house details etc.

I have only mentioned how much I earn, my bank balance and stock value.Is it OK that I have left other columns blank (like personal property, real estate)and I have already mailed those docs to India ?

Hi,
You should mention the value of the other properties that you have (immovable & movable). The more property you show, the better you fare as a sponsor. And by the way it is I 134 that is the Affidavit of Support and not I 137. If you still have time, i think you should mail a fresh corrected copy.

Thanks for your reply. Yes..it is 134 I mistyped it.

I thought if I mention about my property details they would think I am well settled and may think that whoever is visiting will not return.

I have showed enough bank balance and stock investments to meet the minimum requirements and most of my friends have not shown their property details.

I would appreciate if others reply whether they included their property details in I-134 when they sponsored.

You should mention the value of the other properties that you have (immovable & movable). The more property you show, the better you fare as a sponsor. And by the way it is I 134 that is the Affidavit of Support and not I 137. If you still have time, i think you should mail a fresh corrected copy.
