  • Help! I need Information I am totally clueless!!!

    Hi!

I'm currently an Indian student getting an MBA in Dublin, Ireland. My girl lives in Florida
and I wanna go meet her come June. We are in a long distance relationship and I'm gonna
meet her for the first time. I wanna stay with her for 3 weeks, and get back
to Dublin. Whoever I ask they tell me I'm not supposed to say that, or getting a visa will
be really hard. So someone please answer my questions below and give me some vital information

    1. Should I apply from the embassy in India or the one in Dublin?
    2. Should I tell the embassy that I'm going on a holiday, and not visiting my girlfriend?
    3. She says she is ready to sponsor me. Will they ask me for a sponsor because I have enough money already
    4. Will my folks in India be involved? Because I don't really want them to know.

    Thanks in advance,
    Krishna

    Your advisors are correct.
You should not mention that you are going to meet your girlfriend and that too
you just met online. It raises suspicions you may not return.
Hence, sponsorship from her is out of the question.
Your folks will not be involved .

    Advice;
Apply in Ireland because that is where you are residing for your studies.

Team up with a friend or two at your university and plan a 2-3 week
vacation trip to US. Plan it well, make an itinerary, show enough money
and do it in vacation time at the university.
    Then apply for the visa.

Well I do have some 8000 euro in my bank account...And can I do it like i'm traveling alone? I could look up
some places but are they gonna check if I go there, once I go to Florida? I'm guessing no.

If you will apply with a fellow student(s) , it will look natural to the embassy.
While if you are going alone touring US, it may look less natural and you may get denied.

Once you are in, no one checks where you go.

so like I have my buddy, and even though he is'nt really going to the US for real, can he
apply with me saying that he's tagging along? and then he gets his visa and just doesn't go
          there at all?

EDIT: Since I don't wanna bother with an itinerary unless its completely necessary because I
haven't prepared one before, can I tell the embassy that I dunno If or not I may get a summer job, so I could
go during any month of our summer break - May, June, July or August?
