additional DD

Hi,
I have seen in some postings here stating that their parents asked to give an additional DD for $85 or Rs 3740 to enable administrative processing.Do they give time to them to go and get DD on the same day or do they ask the parents to get the DD next day?
or Do i need to tell my parents to take additional DD for Rs 3740 for safe side?

Yes they do give you a week's time
but it's up to you to take the additional DD becos though you give them the same day. If it it administrative processing it gonna take a long wait till they give you an answer so hopefully they get the visa without that hassle.

Hi,
On the other hand, why don't you make the documentation perfect and also teach your parents all the pertinent answers to all the possible questions and thereby try and avoid the administrative processing at all!
