I-94 date/Candian visitor visa

Hi,

My friends parents had Visitor Visa to US till June 05. They came to US in JUNE 05 and were given I-94 till Dec 05. They need to visit Canada now. My question is will the Canadian embassy give them visa with the US Visitor Visa till June 05 and I-94 till Dec 05? Also, once they go to canda will they be able to enter US?(we are not sure since the Visa expired in June 05). Any response is appreciated.

Since the parents have a valid I-94, for the purpose of applying for a canadian visa, it won't matter that their US visa has expired.

But, if they do get a canadian visa, they will need a valid US visa
to reenter US from canada.
