B1 - Visitor visa to my mother

Hello,

I would need your advise on the issuance of visa for my mother.I am currently working in United States on an H1 for an MNC and I would like to have my mother visit me for a short time.My mother is a Senior Officer working in a private firm and is salaried on a commision basis. Though not a fixed salary she is very well capable of coming on a self sponsor even though I can sponsor. My father is no more and I would like to know in what cases can I apply. My mother's visa was rejected twice not sure on what grounds since she was informed of insufficient ties perhaps - She is working in private firm and we have our house in India. It is only for a short period that I would need her to visit me.

Can my mother try for another time in the consultate- Right from Invitation Letter till her Official documents for self sponsor we have everything in hand. Is it a good decision and can we try. Am very worried if its gets rejected again

Please advise at your earliest.

I am the only son.I do not have any siblings.My mom is a working woman and we have our house and property

Widow + only child in US

It is a bad combination and very hard to get a visitor visa.

The reason ; Even if she does not want to immigrate to US , this is how they judge.
They think she will want to spend her old age with her only child , since there is no husband in INdia.

If someday you plan to return and have a confirmed job in INdia, she can show that saying she wants to visit US before
her son returns. Other than that I am sorry I do not think there is a chance.

Thanks sir. I would just like to know if that is the case - H1 visa would be work visa and the return dates to India will depend on Project dates. So how do we answer a questions to my mom like:

1) When did your son go to US ( if it was 3 years back ) - ?? or

2) When will your son be back - ??

3) If we say he will be back soon or by early next year- Then what wil be the next question ?

4) Why should I believe you will come back - how to answer this question ? since I will obviously be back and my mom due to her work will surely be back.But how will they know that it is just for a visit

I said, she will apply ONLY when you have a confirmed time plan to come back with a confirmed job letter from INdian employer.
From the employer letter the officer can see that you will return so she will return.

If she applies now, there is no chance.
