Hello,
My Friend was on F-1 Visa back in late 1990s and overstayed on his visa. He left the country in 2002. Just before leaving the country, he was arrested for DUI in state of Michigan. I would think that he probably had a arrest warrant in his name back in 2002 when he didn't show for court.
11 years later (matured and quite successful), he is trying to attend a business related exhibition in US.
My question is that if its a good idea for him to apply for visit visa and come to US? Is there a statue of limitation for overstaying on visa and any warrants that may be out for him. What's the best way for him to tackle this.
Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
