Please review my invitation letter

Hi,

Can somebody please review the below invitation letter? My family is visiting me (Mother: 2 months and Father, Brother: 1 month). They are self sponsoring their trip. Please let me know if I am missing anything. Appreciate all the help. Thanks.

My visa status in US is F1 (OPT).
I wish to invite my family, father <name> and brother <name>, to visit me for a pleasure trip for 1 month and my mother <name> for 2 months.
They will stay at my house for the full duration of their stay.

I request you to grant them the visitor visa.

Are we suppose to send both, an invitation letter and a letter to the US consulate? The template I have written is more of a letter to the consulate. Correct me if I am wrong. Do I need to send an invitation letter too apart from the above letter?
