B2 Visa - Mother-In-Law coning alone

My MIL has her VISA interview next week. We have prepared all documents and I am sponsoring her trip. She is also carrying her finantial asset (own home, husband's pension, bank balance etc) papers. My FIL is retired and he is not interested in applying and/or coming to USA. They stay with their working son in India. I don't know what to answer if VO asks her, "Why is your husband not going along with you?" I would greatly appreciate if anyone faced such situation and what they replied or what would you recommend to reply.

Just say the way it is. He is not interested in traveling to USA.
It will go in her favour.
