Help! Which Visa should my girlfriend apply for?

Hello my name is Chris. I have a question regarding applying for a visa for my girlfriend who is a Ukrainian citizen. We have dated for about a year now and have traveled together to Bali. I am going to visit her in the Ukraine in a few months and would like for her to be able to come to visit here in the States. She has friends in NYC and in the past applied for a visa to go to visit them but was denied because she is single. She is a University professor in Odessa and has strong ties there. Ultimately we hope this relationship will lead to marriage but we are not there yet in the relationship. So, my question is whether you think we should apply for a visitor’s visa to come to the USA, or do you think the likelihood would be that she would be denied once again because she is a single 35 year old woman? If she can’t get that visa, I guess our only other alternative would be to apply for a fiancé VISA and be serious about getting married in the 90 day time that is allotted?

Would really appreciate any advice you could give me. Thank you!

In her situation it will be diffcult to get a pleasure visitor visa.
Reason;
*young,
*single,
*not rich,
*purpose of visit very casual.
The combo of above 4 will make the officer think she likely won't come back to Ukraine.


If her university can sponsor her for a business visit related to her teaching subject;
attending conference, seminar, it can work.
Visa is the same as for pleasure B1/B2.
