visitor visa / my (sponsor) visa

My visa stamping has expired, but i have appointment in the consulate on Sept 28. My mom will appear in the consulate on oct 4th for applying for her visitor visa. Since i would not have got my documents back from consulate by then, how can she communicate during the interview that her sponsor's visa is valid?

Will appreciate any pointers.

As long as you are in legal status, you don't require visa stamping in your passport (Visa stamping is just used to enter US.)

Just show I-797 notice of action that shows that you are in legal status.
