Tourist visa for my relative to help my pregnant wife

I'm in US on a H1 visa. I'm planning to apply for tourist visa for a relative to assist my pregnant wife for around 3-4 months. Our parents can't come for health reasons.
I'm aware that it would be possible to hire a nanny/maid here in US. But having a known relative is better than a maid here during pregnancy. Also for 3-4 months the expenses for bringing the relative from india vs hiring a maid/nanny in US would almost be the same.

Also if my relative mentions that she will be coming to help my pregnant wife and her visa gets denied, does it have any impact on my Visa or future H1 extension?

As per the trend, they do not grant visitor visas for pregnancy care.


You will have to get the relative for a pleasure trip without mentioning pregnancy.
Success depends on his/her ties to India.

Your H-1 ext won't be affected at all if there is a denial for the relative.
There is no relation between the two.
