Mom and Brother asked to go to Chennai for visa

Hello All,

Since there were no dates available and they had already visited US before (never had visa rejection) my Mom and brother went to Delhi instead of Chennai. This morning they had their appointment and when they went in for the interview the consulate took the DD and an Indian Lady interviewed them both instead of an American.

My mom was asked what would happen to my brother's studies if they stay that long in US and if he would get holidays for that long. She said he may not stay for that long and come back earlier but she kept repeating 'I am bothered about his studies' and finally she said you have to go to Chennai consulate and not come to Delhi. She did not reject my Mom and brother's visa but simply said they wont process it there in Delhi.

I'm very confused and disappointed...they should not have allowed them to come to Delhi in the first place and after going through all that now I don't know if they will even get dates in Chennai consulate.

Any advice is welcome!

Yes! I only hope they will get a date soon as I am expecting them to help me with my pregnancy.

What do u think they can do to show that my brother will not have problems with his studies if he is on vacation for that long? A letter from his Principle will do?

There is no specific document that you can produce that will prove and convince the officer.
