advice needed urgently

hi,
I have to bring my mother as soon as possible but i didn't find any dates until jan.

One of my friend is planning to cancel his appointment,If i want to make use of that date what should i do?
When it will be appear as available once we cancel the appointment?Will this plan work?

Please help...

You can't do that. As soon as he cancels, it will go to general pool and anyone can take it.
