I truly want to get my parents to visit me not to baby sit.

Is it a good idea to specify month old baby to specify as dependent in affedevit, so that consular officer gets an impression of the visiting reason is to baby sit ?

Hi,
You cannot put on the I134 what is not true. You have to disclose your month old baby if that is the case. You can take a chance by inviting your parents. Sometimes the Consular Officer will not even look into the Affidavit of support, and go merely by DS 156 and performance at the interview.
