Gap between 2 consecutive visits to US

Hi,

My parents had visited me in the US for about 3 months (12th Dec 2012- 22 Mar 2013). I would like for them to come back to US again for another 5 to 6 months from June/July 2013. Is there any rule which states that there should be a gap of 5- months between consecutive travels to US? They have a 10 year multiple entry visitors visa.

I would really appreciate your help and guidance in this regard.

There is no set rule for the time interval; it is all at the discretion of CBP entry officer.


The main point is ,it should not appear that they are staying more than visiting.
Having spent 3 months , returning in another 3 months, may trigger questioning;
If they do not have a compelling reason for this visit (eg family event/ emergency ),
they will let parents in with a warning and a short stay.

I suggest you leave an interval of 5 months to avoid hassles at POE for your parents.
