Has B1/B2 and want to travel as a visitior

Hi,

I have a B1/B2 visa issued to me in 2007. The validity is for 10 years Multiple entry. I was issued B1/B2 VISA for a business purpose and the travel got cancelled due to unseen situation. The VISA still holds valid till 2017. Now i want to travel alone as visitor to my friends place for 3 weeks with my own expenses. Will there be any problem during immigration/port of entry. What will be the questions asked.

They will ask you the purpose and duration at entry.

Tell them you have come to visit your friend for 3 weeks. That is it.

Carry your friend's contact info just in case they ask.

Also i forgot to mention that i went through a denial of L1B visa in 2010 mentioning he could not give in that category and asked me to come in L1Individual. The officer just gave back my application but did not write or do anything on the passport. Does this got any thing to do with the current travel. i have to & fro booked tickets with me already along with a short trip internally in US to another friend place. Do i need to show that tickets also? Also i was planning to use only Credit card for expenses. Is that fine if he asks about money to say i will spend by credit card.

Previous L1B denial has no relation to your current visit, which only requires a valid b1/b2.


If they want to look at your ticket they will ask for it. It is important to have a confirmed RETURN ticket.

Usually they do not ask about money but if they do, yes, credit card is fine. Carry a statement showing its credit limit.
Also carry an Indian bank statement showing you have funds.
