hello,
my sister is planning to tour usa through travel co in packaged tour .

1)she is single, above 35, non working and so not paying tax .
2)as I am working with good financial condition in india , will sponsor her trip .
3) tour company said they will assist in visa processing 50% , rest 50% is strong documents.
4)what visa she will apply for ,

what are her chances in getting tourist visa in following situations,
1)she is doing baby sitting for my baby( her niece)in india . she has reason to come back .
2)she has to attend some workshop in india so need to come bak before date of workshop .
3)she has to appear for exam in india , so has to come back before exam date .

I am sorry , single and non-working are two strong negatives.
No documents will be looked at, they will only ask about her work, income and marital status and just deny on that.

Also , Your funding her trip is a big negative as this shows she has no financial ties of her own to India.

All the reasons you have given for her return are very weak and will not be considered.

If she wants to tour USa,

-She must show strong work and income ties to India
- she must show travel history to other countries.

1) sister's financial position=
my sister has saving and investment certificate upto 5 laks rs .
2)work=
can we show baby sitting for my children ( her niece) as work .
3) travel history=
she has already travelled in UK before .

uk trip is fine but most important is work /family ties to India.

She is not married so no family ties( only spouse and kids are considered).

So she must show work ties . Baby sitting is not proper work.


So, she can apply after she finds stable work or is self employed with good income.

If no work, then she can apply after she is married to a good earning husband.

if we need to show financial ties , can we show 10 to 15 laks deposit in her name .

I have repeatedly said, work ties are important . Not invitation letters.
