B2 for Parent - Dad never had permanent good paid Job. Raised by Grand fathers income

Hi,

I am in L1-B and in USA since 2009. My wife is on L2 and is working as well. I want to bring my parents in B2 visa. As evident from the title of this thread, here is my background.

-- My father never held a permanent job. Hence he does not have any documents which can prove that he worked in xyz company and retired on <dd-mm-yyyy>.

-- I was raised in a joint family where my Grandfather and uncle were working. We were mainly supported by my Grandfather. Now my grandparents stay with my parents. They are now on bank deposite that my grandfather have-- In Interview if my parents are asked about the present source of Income, he will mention about this ancestral money on which they get monthly bank interest. Is this of any concern?

--The last job that my father worked, was as a security guard in a private firm. Should I mention this is DS160. Is there a chance of his job as 'SECURITY GUARD' going against the case and finally getting rejected?

THey do not look at any job documents but rely on verbal answers.

They will just ask him what he does , he can say he is retired.
They will ask him what he worked as.
Whether he says security guard or " Never worked".
will have an impact.
They look at past work and income ties to India for retired people.

He also has to declare his 5 yr work history on DS 160.

It is a personal question; there must be a reason to why he did not work,
personal illness, psychological issues? you can "Personal Message" me, we can
think of a way to present this properly. Also did your mother ever work?
