can wife vist on tourist visa?

Can we invite wife on tourist visa when husband is working on H1B? if so,are we supposed to carry marriage certificate?

what are questions we can expect at the time of interview?

Why doesn't the wife go on an H-4 ?

And who is 'we'?

Due to lack of time Marriage certificate was not taken. And here we meaning "my wife". can she go for interview without marriage certificate since it is not dependent visa.

In fact, If we had marriage certificate I could have applied for H4. there was no issue at all.

Marriage certificate or not, B1/B2 is very unlikely to be approved for her.
Reason; For a B1/B2 one must have an intent to return . ANd since she is going to visit spouse on H-1 ,
no officer will be convinced that she will return.

She is working work back home. I want to show to her the country as I am already in US on H1B. We both want to go back after two to three weeks.

Do not you think these reason are good enough to show?

The best way is you arrange employment for yourself in India . She can show the tentative job letter
to the visa officer , so the officer is convinced you are actually returning.
If she is earning good money, she can show self funding.

Do you mean she needs carry both of the certificates or any one mentioned above will do and wont be any question of marriage certificate right? Please Ans.

I could not follow what you are asking. Is his or her passport endorsed with spouse name? that should be enough. Also she can carry proof of marriage like photos, or a bank account passbook with both your names,

No, neither her passport, nor my passport endorse with spouse name since we are recently married couple.

the only one proof we have is Marriage pics.

See, it is all upto the officer whether he or she will believe your pictures without the marriage certificate.

Some officers do not ask for any proof , some do .
So, she can take whatever she has, wedding photos and WEDDING CARD if you still have it.

There are no set affidavit requirements for B1/B2 as there are for immigrant visas.
It is all at the discretion of the officer.
