Change sponsorship status of the person on visitors Visa, when still in the USA.

Hi,

I am in the USA on H1B for last 7 years and my Green card is under process... Recently, I sponsored my cousin on Visitors VISA..He got the VISA and currently, in the USA for 6 months, out which, 3 months are already over and 3 months are remaining for his Visa to expire.
But now, due to some personal issues, I no longer wish to remain his sponsor i.e. I don't want to be responsible for his actions when within the USA for rest of the 3 months of his stay in the USA. He has friends here who are willing to taken over the sponsorship from me.

Now my questions :

Is it possible or is there a way to change the sponsorship and get rid of the actions of the person whom I sponsored, while still in the USA? In plain and simple words, I dont want to jeopardize my status here, which in return might affect my Green Card process...Please Help!
I would appreciate if anyone can help me with my problem...Thanks in advance..

DO not worry. I-134 ( affidavit of support) that you sent for him is not enforcable in court.

THe best it does is work at the embassy level for the visa.

So, if he does anything illegal, he himself is responsible.
What you can do is report him to USCIS when he does anything illegal.

Thank you for your response...he is not into illegal issues, basically, I don't approve of his Casanova lifestyle, I don't mind him doing anything, but not when I'm responsible for his actions...he wants to move out of my apartment n stay with his friends and I cannot approve this till the time I'm his sponsor.
So, I repeat my question....Is it possible to change the sponsorship of my cousin whom I sponsored, while he is already in the USA?

No, it is not possible. And any lawyer will tell you it is nothing to worry about since this sponsorship does not make you legally liable for anything.

I think you can safely let him move out of the apartment.
