Documents for Visitor visa appointment

I am inviting my parents on visitor visa and I looked up the link at https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visitor...tor-documents/
but I am still not sure about what exactly is required for scheduling an offline appointment (or in person).

Does anyone know what are the mandatory documents required for scheduling an appoinment?

Where are you applying?

They are applying in Bombay (Mumbai).
Do they have to take the W2's, paystub's, bank statement's and affidavit from their side for scheduling the appointment?

Just the DS-156 form, photo, fee and passport.
