Sponsored or Self-Sponsored?

My brother and his wife are planning to visit US on visitor visa.
• He is 48 years old.
• Has a business with annual income ~ Rs. 3-4 lac
• Owns properties (house, shop and farm)
• Has two kids (Age 21 & 17) staying in India

I am on H1-B visa staying in the US for last 3 years. I will share his expenses (won't pay fully).

What should I do? Sponsored or Self-Sponsored? In which type the chances are better?

With that income , he surely cannot show self funding.

You will have to send an I-134 and show full funding support. If your income is not great or have low balances, then wait till you
have it better.

Thanks peace999. I have a healthy bank balance/income. Just don't want to take a chance by showing sponsorship to brother & sister-in-law because sponsorship works well only in parent's visitor visa scenario.

Sometimes, it can work in other cases too depending on the situation.

Your bro's chances of getting the visa on his own funding are nil. So, it does not hurt to try on your funding (I-134). If they leave both kids behind
and go for a short trip like 2-3 weeks, they could succeed on your sponsorship.
