Change of Name after US Visa approval

Hi. Need a clarification.

My First name is Sudhir and surname is Suriyanarayanan. However in my passport My first name was Suriyanarayanan Sudhir and my Surname is Blank.

I applied US Visa and got my surname as Suriyanarayanan Sudhir and my first name Unknown.

I also applied for new passport and got a new passport with the corrections Given name: Sudhir and Surname:Suriyanarayanan.

Will my US Visa be valid??

Actually I had searched the net before applying for new passport if it would make any difference. It was mentioned, if both old and new passports are there, then there would be no problem. However now I have come across post that are the other way around.

I am now in Saudi Arabia. Could you please clarify.
