Hello all,
I am United Nation Peace Keeper currently deployed at peace keeping mission in Liberia. Being a peace keeper it was quite simple (as previous cases showed so) for people to get multiple entry B2 visa for 5 years. So, as my plan to visit US later after about a year, I thought I would get a multiple entry B2 visa and make myself ready for it, as getting B2 visa back in my country is really tough. Along with me, other people also applied for US B2 Visa from here in Liberia, and all of them got 5 years multiple visa expect me and the other guy :-( (we got 3 month, single entry visa). All of those who got multiple entry visa for 5 years had no close relatives in US and had just friends and distant relatives. Talking about me, I had my elder sister in US who is a green card holder, the other guy had his parents in US who were DV lottery winner. The Consular didnt ask much question to all of us, and didnt even ask all of us for a single documents.
The things that I am really confused is-
1. What is the most possible explanation for me getting VISA for just 3 months??? Is is due to my sister and her visa status?? Did this thing, i.e my sister being a green card holder in US, made consular feel that I can be a potential immigrant in US??
2. As I dont have any such plan to visit US within 3 months?? Will it have negative impact the next time I apply for visa if I dont go to US this time??
3. The next time, i.e after 6 months I will be here again in Liberia, I am planning to apply for B2 visa next time again. Is it possible for me not to mention about my elder sister in the section "do you have any relatives residing in US"?? Will they know about it?? Will they have the data of my previous DS-160 form?? Will this be the best option??
4.Or will it be the best option to apply for B2 visa back from my own country??
