  • Return Ticket for B2 Visa holders

    Hello,

I read that in the past(2008) there were visa rejections at POE for those who arrived on B2 and without a return ticket. Could any one please comments if its still the case today.

I am planning to bring my parents (in B2) next month and i dont have a return date exactly in mind becase i am planning to book tickets once they are here and decide on the return dates.

I appreciate any help or suggestions in this regard.

It is very important that they have a return ticket.
This is because it shows to the officer that they have an intent to return.
Also, I do not think any airline will let them fly one-way on a B2 visa.

They do not always ask for it but they can, especially from parents who tell them they want 6 months of
stay or who have history of very long stays, extensions and very frequent visits previously.

Just book a return ticket for 3 months and change it later when they are here. It will cost you to change but
    there is no option.
