  • Query regarding group B2 visa

My widow mother, my doctor sister, my niece and myself are going to apply for B2 visa to attend my cousins wedding in USA. My sister (43 years old) is a doctor and has her family business and also is working so her income is more than 1 lakh per month. My niece is 12 years old and studying in school. My mother is a housewife plus a widow and is 67 years old. She has no property in her name and lives with me. Myself (42 years old) a divorcee earn around 1 lakh per month by working as a freelancer web developer for a client from USA and a client from Delhi. I work on-site for the client and he can give me a letter regarding it, that I will come back to join him. What are the prospects of getting the visa? My cousins father is my mother's real brother. He is American citizen. I also want to know regarding sponsorship? Who shoudl sponsor? It should be self sponsored or sponsored by my uncle in USA. My sister can sponsor herself. We have around 7-8 lakhs in our joint account(me and my mother). Can I sponsor my mom and myself?
    thanks

With one lac income each you guys can show self funding and funding for your mother.
No need for sponsorship from your uncle. YOu can just get an invitation from him and the wedding card.

But more important than funding is the ties part.
A problem could be your divorcee and freelancer status. Spouse , children and/or stable occupation are important ties they
look for, and you do not have any. Same with your mother.
You have not mentioned about your sister's husband.

In the end, it all depends on the officer, you may get a lenient officer, and get the visas.

My sister's husband is an engineer and he looks after her business. He is not going to attend the marriage due to his work.

We are applying together. Are there more chances if we apply for visa in a group?

traveling together and going for the same purpose, it is good to be applying together. In fact the embassy prefers that.
I donot think it will increase or decrease the chances of each person as they will be asking questions from each of you
and they can grant some or all OR deny some or all at the same interview.
