Question about visitor visa interview date

Hi,

I scheduled the visa interview appt @ Mumbai consulate for my in-laws yesterday. None of the July dates were available. The earliest date available was 18th Aug and I scheduled the appointment on that date.
If I cancel that appointment now and keep on looking for available dates for another 3-4 days, what are the chances that I would get the appointment in July?
I don't want to end up not getting the July dates and also losing the 18th Aug appointment.

Keep the one you have. Don't cancel existing appointment in hope to get sooner appointment. Otherwise, you may get the one which is even later.

I think new dates for this month and next month are available for B2 visa. Check for them online or call their call center to check availability.
