  • help regarding B2 visa employer letter

    Hi,
I am working for a company in Delhi as a freelancer building their software and I will take a letter from my employer regarding it that he is granting me leave but in that letter I will show that I am working full time.. Problem is, I want to go for at least 3-4 months so how to convince that I can get leave for 3-4 months and how should I show that. If by the way visa is granted how to tackle the same at POE. Do they also check all papers?
I want to visit all the tourist destinations and I may not get other opportunity in future. Please advise what kind of letter to get from my employer. Can he write that he has no objection if I go for 3-4 months. Will it look fishy?
Also, i tried twice for canadian study visa but denied. Can they ask for that? The reason for that was potential immigrant. Can it cause problems for me?
    Help will be really appreciated.

Should not request 3-4 months stay for tourism if you are a young person showing regular employment.
They will deny just on this.

A lot depends on other factors like your marital status, any relatives in US, history of foreign travel etc.
I think I have replied to your post before.

If they grant you a visa, you can request 3 months at POE. that can be done.

I am 43 years old divorcee. I am going for my cousins wedding with my mom, sister, sister's daughter. My earning is greater than 1 lakh as I have joined a job in June this year in Delhi and also doing freelancing from home at a fixed salary for a US employer. I am asking for an employment letter from India and I want to know since I have joined only last month and it will be 4-5 months when I apply, will it look fishy if my employer grants me 3-4 months leave without any problem? Please advise.

Yes, it will not look good. If you are going for a wedding and showing regular employment, request only 2 wks.
Usually they give you 3 months at POE anyway.

All that said, a short history of employment and no spouse are negatives even for a short trip.

I am simultaneously working for 2 employers. How to show that on DS-160? Please advise.
