  • parents n inlaws visa got rejected in june 2012--is this the right time to re-apply??

    Hello Gurus,

    Please help me....

Last june(2012) i have applied for my parents visa. 2 times for my parents and 1 time for my in-laws. Both got it rejected in Hyderabad consulate.

Little about my background till 2012: Me and my husband are working as consultants. i came here on F2 visa(My husband was on f1 when married) and then we both changed to H1.. We last time Visited India was in 2007.

So i applied for my parents n in-laws visa in june 2012 and they got rejected. my friends sent the same kind of documentation to their parents and got their visas(not sure what went wrong with us)

My father is a govt employee and my mom is a house wife.. My in-laws go agriculture. when my parents went for 2nd staming all they asked is is there any difference between 1st time and now(???)..i don't know what difference can we show to them...

So now in 2013 we went to India and both got our H1b stamping and we are back in USA with out any issues.

So, now i need some help from experts or from any one who can help me...

1.Will this be a right time to apply for my parents and my in-laws visa??(As i just came back from vacation to USA)
2.What possible changes can i show from last application and this time application?
    3. is it a right decision to apply for chennai consulate this time??
4.is there any chance they got rejected because we did not visit India from 2007(i know it should not be considered but apart from this there is no other difference to my friends documentation and mine)

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Hasitha.

can you post your parents' first interview and your in laws interview . Whatever they can recall.

Did you send affidavit of support for them or did they show self funding?

What is your dad's income per year? and your in laws'?

      Hello Peace999,

Thanks for the reply. I have sent both my in-laws and parents affidavit of supports and we sponsored for both of them.
      Here are the interview questions:

      To my in-laws:

all the questions were to my FIL and none of them to MIL.
      1.what do you do?-----agriculture
2.what is your annual income?----- FIL said 8lakhs..
3.how many children do you have?-----FIL said one more son in india.
      4.what do he do?----govt job
5.did your son go for studying--- yes(Though my husband did his masters and working...initially he came here on f1 status so my in-laws said yes he went for studying)
6.do you have any fixed deposits----my FIL said yes for 80k.
7.can you show the receipts?-------though he really had the FD they did not have the receipts with them.

      Then they said sorry....

      To my parents:

      1st interview:

1.what do you do?----working for ap govt in so n so dept.
2.what is your salary?-----said and also said i have the salary slips in the folder.
      3.show us your kids passports----showed

      That's it....
      They said sorry...

      2nd interview:
1.what is the difference for last time and this time---nothing...we thought we will go if we get visa but we did not...

      That's it...
      They said sorry....
It seems the interpreter said sir don't try to attend the visa without any changes..its waste..

My dad earns a salary of approx 8 lakhs n have other sources of income too(like rents) and my dad have 4 more years of service too....

I am really not understanding what might have went wrong....

      Appreciate your help

      Thanks,
      Hasitha
