  • US visa application - Brother

    Hi,

I am planning to visit my brother who is in US for a short 10 day trip.

He is got his green card and is there for more than 5 years now.

I am working in a private company here and get paid a pretty decent amount. Need to know under what scenario can my application get rejected. Also my brother is sponsoring my visit. Is original copies of all sponsor documents required or printouts/scanned copy will do.

    Thanks in advance.

For higher chances of successfully getting a visitor visa one needs to show strong family/financial ties to home country.

    Whats your age?
    Whats your marital status?
Whats the purpose of your trip?
Whats your monthly/annual income which can be proven by IT filing receipts?
Who else is in your family and where are they?

Bachelor, with no strong income (<1 Lakh per Month), going to visit brother who has green card do come strongly under suspicion that they will not return and will stay in US with Brother's help and eventually have higher chances of getting rejected for visitor visa.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
