Applying for B1 tourist visa while i have I-130 application in process

Hello All,


My wife and 3 children who are a us citizens and i currently live and work in Canada. She has filed a form I-130 petition for me which is in process with USCIS in Chicago.

We are planing to take the children to Disney in December and i wanted to know if it is still possible for me to apply for a B1 tourist visa while i have an immigrant petition in process?

Would it be a problem for me to apply for a tourist visa?

WHen it is obvious to the officer that the current visit is temporary,despite the pending immigrant petition,
a visitor visa is granted in several cases.

It is all up to the officer, there is no harm in trying. A denial won't affect your I-130.
