  • Kindly help this fortunate guy (but in critical situation) regarding B2 Visa

    Hi guys,

Am 25 yrs old engineering graduate from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. For the past three years i was doing a business under Proprietorship license. Major part of my business deals with cash and my income is just around 15k per month . Hence i haven't filed IT before. But as i needed a bank loan to establish a Pvt Ltd company, I have filed a IT for the years 2008-2011 on a single, same day (showing 2L as a profit per annum) . And i incorporated a Pvt Ltd company on May 2012 by keeping me and one of my cousin as a director. Then i imported some products from china and doing the business now. By the way i haven't filed any IT for the last 2 yrs (as i earned only around 15k per month). I have company incorporation certificate, company PAN, proprietorship license's TIN, CST and IEC. (Don't have TIN for company)

And here comes the good news! Once upon a time i heard about the most famous U.S lottery games. There after i used to play sometimes when am interested. I usually play through a online agency. Now with God's grace i have won a huge prize couple of days ago (and am from a very poor family). So i need to go to U.S to claim the prize. As i never had any idea about the process involved in getting U.S visa, i googled it today and came to know about this excellent site. I went through the entire details given in the website and came to know that i have to apply for a B2 visitor visa (correct me if am wrong!). I have my passport with me. And have a residential house under my dad's name.

My question is what are the supporting documents should i have to carry along with me to the interview? Bcos i don't have IT for the last 2 yrs and also the IT filed for 2008-2011 was made purely for the loan and also on the single day. Also as the major part of my business deals in cash, the bank statements are something like 10k, 5k, 20k only. So it clearly shows the consulate that am not from a big financial background. So pls kindly guide me how to handle this critical situation. If i dont go to U.S then i cant able to claim my prize. If i go it would be a great help for my family's critical financial situation.

the visa is B1/B2. the most important thing they look for is if you will return to India after the visit.

*I assume you are not married, and
*from a low financial background, and
    *going to claim a lottery,

they will never give you a B1/b2 ( visitor visa).

They will think you will never come back.

Just from your single status and low income, they will deny. You won't have any way to prove yourself.
This is the hard fact I am sorry.

If you are an engineering graduate, look for a job in US that could sponsor you for an H-1 visa. It will be difficult but that is
    your only way.

      Yes sir. Am not married.
So the only possibility is H-1, isnt it?

And that company staff told me that they can provide a official letter in their official letter head stating that am going to U.S to claim the prize. Will this letter help in my visitor visa approval?

H-1 is a work visa. That is if you wish to work in US.
H-1 requires an employer in US filing a petition for you in US.
On approval of that petition you can get an H-1 work visa at the embassy.

If your only purpose is to claim the prize, in your current situation , chances are very slim
          to get a visitor visa,

Ya i can understand about H-1 visa. What am asking is, that company staff told me that they can provide a official letter in their official letter head stating that am going to U.S to claim the prize. Will this letter help in my visitor/tourist visa approval?

Can i show that letter to the consulate officer that i have won a prize in U.S and am going to claim it? or will it be a problem?

Like I said in my first post, they want to make sure you will return.

If you tell them about lot of prize money , they will think you will never return.
Anyway, you are single and not earning well in India so you have no ties in India to bring you back.

That said, there is no harm in trying but chances are very slim.
