*Applying at New Delhi for a B1/B2, if they put your case in 221g, do they keep your passport or do they give it back?

*If they keep it, and you urgently need to travel to another country , can you ask your passport back right there?

*If you ask for your passport back, will they continue with the 221g and inform you when it is done?

Not necessary that they will keep your passport if your case falls under 221g.

Yes you can ask for your passport back if you want to travel but I don't think they will continue with the 221g process. You might have to re-apply.
