B1/B2 Visa travel to US during September Month

Hi all ,

I have my H1B approved this year while i was in US with L1B status . I came to India back and i have no intention right now to take the future job in US with H1B or not which starts from Oct 1st this year. I have some personal reasons to visit US again this september 1st and my return ticket is also in spetember 15th.. My brother who is in USA is getting married. I have my B1/B2 visa with me for next 10 years validity apart from my L1B.

My concern is if i travel in B1/B2 visa during the september month for just 15 days ,will there be any port of entry questions like why iam travelling at this point of time when my H1B starts in Oct 1st. Will the future H1B visa appears in the system for port of entry officers? How to manage such situations because iam not sure whether i have intention of joining the future employer for H1B . My only intention is to visit US and attend the marriage and also spend some time with the family there.

Your worry is unwarranted.

First of all they won't care about your H1b at all. THey will only look at your presenting visa B1/B2
and their only concern will be that you will return after the visit.
( wedding card , return ticket will prove that)

Secondly you do not have the H1b visa stamp, only the approval, so they won't care
if you use the approval or not.
